Young Women's Writing Contest

The Junior League of Greenville is pleased to announce that it will be holding its 5th annual Young Women's Writing Contest. Female students in grades 6-12 from Greenville County public, private, and home schools are encouraged to submit their essays. Essays should be between 750-1200 words and will be accepted until Friday, March 10, 2017. The winner will be announced by May 1, 2017.

Along with a $500 scholarship award, the winning essay will be published in the Summer 2017 issue of VISIONS magazine, and the winner will be invited to accept her award at the JLG's Annual Meeting held on May 23, 2017.

This year's topic is:

Conflict and working with people we do not see eye to eye with is part of life. Discuss a conflict resolution strategy you use successfully in school or with friends. How did you develop this strategy? Do you have a success story?
